Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV explores the rise of TV producer Dan Schneider, accused of creating a hostile work environment. Beginning with his 1994 hit All That, writers Christy Stratton and Jenny Kilgen describe underpayment and misogyny. The series highlights issues faced by actors in Schneider’s shows, including Zoey 101 actress Alexa Nikolas. In episode three, Drake Bell reveals sexual abuse by Nickelodeon coach Brian Peck, supported by letters from industry figures. The episode includes a statement from Joanna Kerns, regretting her support for Peck. The documentary also covers production assistant Jason Michael Handy, sentenced for sexual offenses in 2004.
