Synopsis:
Cuties, a French drama-comedy film, revolves around Amy, a Senegalese-French girl who lives in the Paris’ poorest neighborhood with her mother and brothers. With a traditional upbringing, she waits for her father to return from Senegal with his new wife. This makes her hate her traditional values and develop an interest in internet culture. One day, she discovers her neighbor’s twerking clique that’s an adult-style dance troupe. Inspired by the dance form and adult dancers, she wears on a revealing costume and publishes her photo on social media, getting backlashed by school mates and banned from her dance group. Can she regain the lost esteem and get her position back in the group?
