Chhapaak (2020)

Synopsis:

Chhapaak, an Indian drama movie, is a story that tells the tale of an unquashable human spirit that led to strict regulations for the sale of acids. Malti, who portrayed the role of Laxmi Aggarwal in the movie, gets attacked by a 32-year-old man in 2005 when she rejected her proposal while being a young 15 years old girl. After this, she puts up her voice against the crime and for other acid attack victims. And, she has to go through a lot during her fight, from the investigations of the attack to court proceedings, emotional healing, and medical treatments. The movie is based on the real-life incidents of acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal.
